Happy New Years!!!

Hey everyone,
I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. It's so amazing to think that even though this blog has been going for only, well since the 23rd of December 2013 and its only the first of January 2014, my point is that it's a new thing and already we have had more success than I though we would (and I thought nothing). I just want to mention that we will try to post once a week so keep checking back.

I hope you all have an amazing 2014 and good luck with your New Years resolutions (if you have any)

Dotti Dresses

During our shopping spree we found two gorgeous dresses in Dotti. They are the Swan Princess Dress and the Fallen Angel Prom Dress.

This Swan Princess Dress is AMAZING. This $99.95 dress is aboslutely glamourous and will completely blow the socks off everyone around you. Perfect for parties, formals (proms) and evening events.  It comes in one colour only, which is cream (but it looks more like white) and it comes in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14.

The Fallen Angel Prom dress is heaven on Earth. This $119.95 dress (although slightly more expensive) is absolutely perfect and will completely amaze your friends. Perfect for formals (proms) but would also be good for parties and evening events. It comes in only one colour which is black and it comes in sizes 6, 8, 10 and 12.

BOE Beauty

For christmas I recieved a massive boe Beauty kit, complete with nail polish, nail file, toe separator, eyeshadows, blushes, eye liners, lipsticks and a make up bag. I think boe Beauty is amazing however have only been able to find it in Big W (Australian shop) and not online either.

Nail Polish
The kit contained 4 different coloured nail polish. Pinky redy one, purple, gold/bronze and a bright red (I don't actually know the proper colour names or product name as it was in a huge set and I can't find it anywhere online).

Purple
Gold/Bronze
Pinky Red
Bright Red
Eye Shadow
The eyeshadow range I have from boe includes 4 different colour paletes contain 4 different colours and shades. The colours included in all 4 are purple. green, dark brown, rose pink, dark green, black, hazelnut, indigo, grey, light brown, hot pink, pale pink, brown, light green, dark grey and peach.

I also did swatches on my hand to show you the colour when it's not inside a palette.

Eye Line
I have 4 different eye liner colours. A light silvery blue, a metalic green, a metalic blue and a black with a little bit of silver throughout it.
Lipstick
In boe Beauty's range of lipsticks I only have 4. A dark purple, hot pink, red and light brown. However I have found the lipsticks fairly bright in it's case but when applied quite light. Especially the purple which is really dark but when put on it is almost pink and matches my original lip colour.

Make Up Brushes (David Jones)

David Jones has an impressive small range of brushes available. For christmas I recieved (as a gift) the David Jones Beauty Travel Brush Kit at only $20.95.

David Jones online store's description of the brush kit is 'A versatile travel brush kit featuring four essential brushes for perfect make up'. The kit includes; eye liner brush (which I would also use as a lip brush), an eye shadow brush, a foundation brush and a powder brush.

Eye liner brush

Powder brush

foundation brush
(sorry the eye shadow brush is missing)
Although it is quite small it still carries the essential brushes required for the basics. I would definitly recomend this for a cheap basic pack but if your after a more advanced set I would go for the Nude by Nature Professional Brush Kit (see the Nude by Nature Professional Brush Kit post)

Nude by Nature Professional Brush Kit

So today I went to the shops because I was in desperate need of some more makeup products.
One thing I did need were some new makeup brushes. I saw this Nude by Nature Professional Brush Kit and I thought that I would give it a try. It looks like it is going to be a great kit for me because I am actually just starting with makeup and this kit has all the essentials.

This set comes with a kabuki brush, defining blush/powder brush, deluxe eye shader, domed eye blending brush, concealer brush, dual headed eye definer and lip brush and a precision sharpener. it also comes with a brown zip up case to store all your brushes in. The brushes are all extremely soft.  this particular set retails for $30 AUD and i bought mine from Priceline. You can also buy this brand online at https://www.nudebynature.com.au/ but unfortunately they do not ship to addresses outside of Australia

The company uses all naturally derived ingredients. The makeup is great for your skin and does not contain harmful chemicals. These brushes are made of high quality synthetic fibres so as not to take hair from animals.

I would really recommend these brushes because it is a really cheap set compared to other brands and they are a good quality and just so soft.

Maybelline New York One by One Volume Express Mascara Review

The One by One mascara by Maybelline is by far the best mascara that I have ever used. The colour, finish, application and quality is amazing in this mascara.

One of the main things that actually attracted me to this product was the price. This was quite a cheap product for such great quality, I think I got this on sale. I am not sure where I purchased this; I think I got it from Target, Kmart or Priceline. People say that you get what you pay, in this instance you get more than what you pay for because it’s so cheap but amazing quality.

The actual finish of the product is not too glossy and it doesn’t leave huge clumps. I got it in Satin Black, I don’t know if it comes in other colours, probably not but if anybody finds this in different colours comment down below.

The application of this mascara is amazing. The wand is really big and has lots of bristles. This prevents your eyelashes from clumping together as mush which is a huge plus or me because my eyelashes clump really easily.

This product works the best if you curl your eyelashes first and then apply the mascara. The One by One mascara is easy to get huge lashes as it’s really easy to build up layers to make your lashes appear super long.

I would recommend this product to everyone. It’s really good and looks amazing as an everyday look or to wear out in the evening.

If you have this mascara please comment down below your thoughts, I would love to hear them.

Mega Lashes Makeup Look

Hey everyone,
Because its boxing day, we actually had a whole bunch of people over for snacks and drinks and whatever and so with me being the only teenage girl there I had to find something to do. So basically i just did this makeup look really quickly but it looks great. the main focus is the lashes and also the pink lips.

On my lips I used Rimmel London's lasting finish 1000 Kisses lip stain on the first layer, then I put the TCW lipstick on top (I don't know the shade, it's not on the packaging).

On the lids of my eyes I used ModelCo's smokey eye duo eyshadow, I used the shade Mykonos. Instead of using eyeliner I wet my angled brow brush and used the Shanghai shade from the same ModelCo duo and lined it on my waterline - top and bottom - I prefer using the eyeshadow to do this than a pencil.
On my lashes I used my favourite mascara the Maybelline New York One By One Volume Express mascara in Satin Black.

I love this look because it's so simple, is really quick and it can be and everyday look or an evening look.
I really recommend any of these products especially the mascara as they all are fabulous and affordable.

If you have any questions leave them in the comments and I will try to get back to you.

Braids

There are many different types of braids in the universe. My favourite has to be the waterfall. The braid part of a waterfall braid is at the top in sort of a crowning type way and either pinned at the sides or braided down the middle of the hair.
Another one I think looks awesome is the side pony. It is just a simple braid going from one side the other and ending it with a side pony tail.

We want to hear from you... comment your favourite type of braid!!!

ASOS Red Dress - I want

This cute red dress from ASOS is definitely on my wishlist. I love the look of the bodice and the floaty fabric skirt. I also really love the colour and the fact that the red is not too bright. One of the main things i love about this dress is the fact that it has a higher neckline so it is not too flashy like some other dresses I have seen this season. It would also be a great transeasonal  dress because as the weather cools down you would be able to add a jacket and tights. Because of all this it is so going on my wishlist.
